Aaron Marks

Aaron Marks serves as Vice President of Client Services for ArcSource.

Aaron's love for information technology began while he played with computers growing up. In college, he studied Computer Information Systems while enjoying the redwoods and Northern California coastline at Humboldt State University. After 5 years in Arcata and a year in Paris, he completed his bachelor's in CIS.

After college, Aaron spent two years doing IT support and teaching computers for several East Bay public and private schools and non-profits, followed by a year of providing IT support through service in AmeriCorps. Aaron jumped into the corporate world in 2004 as an IT support specialist for an advertising agency in downtown SF. As a Creative Support Specialist, he focused on the agency's Mac workstation, server, backup, and printing needs.

Aaron joined ArcSource in 2008, leveraging his written and spoken communication skills to develop relationships with our clients. He continually hones his multi-tasking skills, as he seeks to support small businesses in their unique and ever-changing needs. Aaron takes a different approach to IT services by applying his 80/20 rule: IT support is 80% people skills and 20% computer ninja magic.

Commuting by bicycle from the Oakland hills to his high school next to the UC Berkeley campus, Aaron learned to appreciate the East Bay park system while riding his mountain bike up and down every trail he could find. Shortly after graduating from college, he became involved with scuba diving—receiving his certification in the chilly waters off the Monterey coast.
